1. What is the Payment Method for Registered EV Drivers? How does it work?
Instant Payment is the payment method for registered EV drivers. With Instant Payment, you pay for each charging session immediately after it ends.
At the start of each charging session, a temporary authorisation hold may be placed on your selected payment method. After the session ends, you’ll be billed based on your actual usage, and the hold will be released. The actual release time depends on your card issuer, but it usually occurs within the next 1-3 business days. Should it take longer, don’t worry, we will never capture the authorisation hold amount, only actual charge costs if applicable.
When the charging has ended, the corresponding receipt is generated as soon as possible. This ensures a straightforward experience, allowing you to stay in control of your charging expenses.
Note:
If the authorisation hold isn’t released within the expected timeframe, we recommend contacting your payment card provider or bank to help speed up the process or clarify the reason for the delay.
2. Why is Instant Payment a great option?
- Faster Payments: Payments are processed promptly after each session.
- Convenience: Enjoy a pay-as-you-go model that provides flexibility and ease.
-
No Surprise Bills: Avoid the stress of receiving large accumulated invoices.
3. What happens if there’s an issue with payment?
Please follow the instructions in the app for troubleshooting. If the issue persists, please contact our support team.
4. What happens if payment fails?
If a payment fails, please double-check that your payment details are correct and that online payments are enabled for your card. Alternatively, you can try using a different payment method. Once the issue is resolved, you’ll be able to continue charging without any interruptions.
5. Which payment cards are supported for Instant Payment?
Most standard payment cards are accepted; however, certain card types may not be supported. Prepaid and virtual cards are not accepted.
6. Can I opt out of Instant Payment?
No, Instant Payment is the default and only billing option available for EV drivers.
7. I have an old account. Can I switch from the monthly "Postpaid- by-card" account to Instant Payment?
Currently, Instant Payment is only available for new registrations.
8. I am trying to start a charge using my RFID tag, but it fails continuously.
The reasons for this might be that you either have an unpaid previous charging transaction on your account, or we are not able to place an authorisation hold on your payment card due to insufficient funds on your card. Please start your next charging transactions using your app instead of your RFID tag for more detailed information.
Enjoy a seamless, convenient, and transparent charging experience with Instant Payment!
