Your Charging Receipts in the Virta App

Keeping track of your electric vehicle charging expenses is easy with the Virta app. All your charging receipts are conveniently stored in one place, ready for you to view, download, or share whenever you need them. Here are some frequently asked questions about how receipts work in the app.

Where can I find my receipts?

You can find all your available receipts in the Virta app. 
Here’s how to find them:

  • Open the Virta app
  • Go to Profile
  • Tap Receipts

You’ll see a clear list of your receipts, ready to open or share.

What types of receipts are available in the app?

The app provides access to several types of receipts, depending on how you pay for your charging:

  • Monthly Receipts (Postpaid by card or prepaid): If you are a registered user with a prepaid or postpaid-by-card account, you will receive a monthly summary receipt which is available in the app
  • One-Time Payment (OTP) Receipts: If you charge without a registered account (OTP charging) using Virta mobile app (In-app OTP), your receipts for each charging session will be available in the app
  • Instant Payment Receipts: If you are a registered user with Instant Payment account, and are being billed immediately after each charging session, your receipts can be found in the app
  • RFID Tag Order Receipts: If you order a physical RFID charging tag, the receipt for this order will also appear in your receipt list in the mobile app

Please note that the following receipts cannot be found in the app:

  • Receipts for postpaid invoicing plans (where you receive a separate invoice from your e-mobility service provider) are not available in the app
  • Web One-Time Payment Receipts, as these are only shared with you if you enter you email address
  • Receipts for integrated payment terminals on charging stations where you can get your receipt via QR code
  • Payment Kiosks receipts which are sent via email if you entered your email address when charging

How can I view and manage my receipts?

Once you navigate to the Receipts section, you can:

  • View a list of all receipts organised by year
  • Open any receipt to view it as a PDF directly on your device
  • Filter receipts by a specific date range to quickly find what you're looking for
  • Share or download a receipt. You can easily send a PDF copy via email, WhatsApp, or any other sharing option your smartphone supports

I used One-Time Payment (OTP) without logging in. Can I still see my receipts?

Yes. Receipts for charging sessions made with mobile app without logging in (OTP) are stored locally on your mobile device and can be accessed from the Receipts tab in the Virta app.

Important to note: Because these OTP receipts are stored on your mobile device, they will be permanently lost if you uninstall the app or clear the app's data. A notification in the app will remind you of this.

Can I see my OTP receipts if I log into my account?

To view receipts from in-app one-time payments, you must be logged out of your account. If you are logged in, you will only see the monthly receipts associated with your registered account. To see your OTP receipts, simply log out.

When are new receipts generated?

  • Monthly Receipts for prepaid and postpaid-by-card users are typically generated at the beginning of each month 
  • One-Time Payment (OTP) & Instant Payment Receipts are generated after each successful charging session and with charging session on roaming stations, there can be possible delays in receipt generation due to pending Charging Detail Records (CDR)
